RONSTAN onboard for the Global Ocean Race 2011-12

Leading yacht hardware company Ronstan today confirmed arrangements to be a Race Partner with the Global Ocean Race 2011-12.

Via their UK Big Boat distributors, SailTek, Ronstan will be providing all bona fide entries in the race with a substantial discount on their extensive product range. Founded in 1953 in Australia by Ron Allat and Stan Lenepveu, the Ron and Stan of Ronstan, the company has expanded into a global entity supplying quality marine hardware through a worldwide network of distributors and dealerships.

In 2001 Ronstan acquired the Danish brand Frederiksen, manufacturers of high quality big-boat hardware and in 2002 brothers Russell and Jason Belben took over the reins of Ronstan UK, moving across from their long-standing positions with Frederiksen. 'We are delighted that Ronstan are the official hardware suppliers to the Global Ocean Race fleet and we are looking forward to working with Josh, his team and all the sailors involved', said Jason Belben from Sailtek.

Race Director, Josh Hall, commented 'Ronstan produce great equipment that is perfectly suited to Class40 boats, especially ones that are heading off around the world. The discount that is being offered to our entries is a very real benefit to them, especially those who are building new boats for the race and we welcome Ronstan to our growing family of quality Race Partners'.

Ronstan an Australian company with global reach, another great Partner for the Global Ocean Race 2011-12.
